FROM A SIMPLE PROPOSAL, TO 26 MENUS DELIVERED THROUGH FIFTY FIVE BISTRO

It all started after the prediction contest from the match with FC Universitatea 1948 Craiova which was won by Cirstea Vlad. The prize for this stage is offered by Fifty Five Bistro , a local in Giroc. We hope that the following lines will give you a small smile of satisfaction on your face because from the simple proposal we managed to alleviate the lives of less fortunate people.

Over 700 predictions were offered by the fans for the derby with Craiova, which ended 2-1 in favor of our team. And after the raffle, the voucher worth 200 lei at Fifty Five Bistro was awarded by Cirstea Vlad who shortly after this announcement contacted us in private and informed us that he wants the voucher to be used in menus of the day to needy and disadvantaged people.

8 initial menus turned into 26

Following the discussions with the representatives of the Fifty Five Bistro, we decided by mutual agreement to supplement the number of menus as we wanted to make the most of this moment.

First proposal: partners from the “For you” Foundation

Collaboration between our club and our friends at “For You” Foundation , which advocates for and provides community services for human rights with developmental disabilities, is well-known in the local community and beyond. The actions of the past speak for themselves and it is our pleasure to remind you:

– auction for the t-shirt signed by Ioan Mera . The amount offered to those from “For you”: 1,600 lei

– Superfan pack containing promotional materials from our store offered to the Foundation on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities – December 3, 2020

As a result, 11 menus prepared by Fifty Five Bistro were delivered to 11 people with severe mental disabilities on May 12, 2021.

Second proposal: Look Inside Association

Having a varied database regarding the needy people and families from Timișoara, we decided to contact Alina Miclea, the representative of the Association Look Inside , who embraced our proposal from the first words and confirmed without hesitation that the menus offered by us (Politehnica Timișoara, Fifty Five Bistro and Cirstea Vlad) will bring only smiles on the faces of troubled children, of mothers who have suffered over the years due to domestic violence or of elderly people who are actually forgotten.

Said and done! 15 menus were also offered to the Look Inside Association on May 13, 2021.

It all started from a simple proposal that soon turned into a real social action. Thank you!
