Politehnica Timişoara made the first transfer of the summer. We are pleased to announce that midfielder Cosmin Bîrnoi has signed a contract valid until June 30, 2023 with our club.

Cosmin Marian Bîrnoi was born on August 17, 1997, in Hunedoara. He was a junior at ACS Poli, a group where he made his debut in League I and with which he played in a League Cup final. He also played on the first stage for Politehnica Iaşi and Viitorul Constanţa, having a total of two goals scored in 42 elite appearances. He also played in League 2 for ACS Poli and Farul Constanţa. For the latter, he scored three goals in 25 matches in the 2020-21 season (of which 23 games and two goals were counted in the championship, respectively two selections and a success in the Romanian Cup). Cosmin is an offensive midfielder who can play both on the left wing and behind the striker.
