Young midfielder Samuel Costea has signed a two-year contract with Politehnica.

Samuel Costea was born on 13 November 2001 in Timisoara and his main position is left midfielder. He started football at CSȘ Bega Timișoara and has also played at senior level for ACS Carani (League 4), Millenium Giarmata and CSC Ghiroda and Giarmata Vii (both League 3). Last season he played game after game for Ghirozeni in the third tier, scoring twice in 18 seasonal appearances.

“I started playing football in my area, with friends, from about seven years old I was on the pitch from morning till night. When I was growing up, everyone was telling me to join a team. I finally realized that’s what I love to do… And now something has come along that I didn’t even think about. First of all, I’m really happy that I have the chance to be at this great club, which has a wonderful gallery. I hope to establish myself and settle in very quickly with everything Politehnica means.
