Defensive midfielder Rareș Lazăr will play for Politehnica Timișoara in the 2021-22 season on loan from FC Rapid.

Rareș Ștefănuț Lazăr was born on 28 March 1999 in Vaslui. He played his junior football at FC Vaslui. He was a U16, U18 and U19 junior international. At senior level he played for FC Vaslui (making his debut in the elite at a very young age, 15 years and one month), CS Mioveni and Rapid București (League 2). Last season he played in 24 games in Giules’ successful promotion campaign.
