Politehnica got their second win of the 2021-22 League 2 season today. Head coach Dorin Toma appreciated the contribution made by the players introduced during the match and stressed that the credit for the 2-0 away win against Unirea Constanta belongs to the whole team.

“We are very happy for this victory. It was a tough game against a team that was on the rise, even though they had those changes this week. We came into the game a bit slower, also because of the condition of the pitch, but in the second half we controlled the game to a large extent and the result is a deserved one. Of course, the players on the bench also played their part. We are a team, we change, those who came in brought a plus, along with the others who stayed on the pitch brought this victory”, said Dorin Toma, Politehnica’s head coach.

Two players scored for the first time in official matches of our team: Roberto Hațegan and Cosmin Bîrnoi. Both started the game as substitutes. “We are happy for this, they are players who are ready. They can’t all be in the same shape at game time. These are normal changes, beneficial to the players. And in this game those who came in brought a plus, that does not detract from the merits of the others, the team won this game,” the white-violet coach stressed.

At the same time, for the first time this season our team did not concede a goal. “This is the first game without conceding a goal, we are growing from game to game. Geo (n.r. George Păduraru) also had two good interventions, which kept us in the game, and here we are slowly homogenizing, and it helps us to be a team, to help each other more and to have better results!”, concluded Dorin Toma.
