We are pleased to announce that Rareș Bîrlovean, one of the club’s young prospects, has signed a contract extension with Politehnica Timișoara. With the new deal the quarterback originally from Petroșani will be our player until the summer of 2025!

Rareș Petru Bîrlovean was born on 28 April 2003 and grew up first at LPS Banatul. Since the 2017-18 season he joined the promising 2003 white-violet generation. In the first part of last season he was on loan at Fortuna Becicherecu Mic, where he recorded eight appearances at League 3 level. In the return he was part of the enlarged Politehnica squad.

In the current season Rareș played on loan at Pobeda Stár Bišnov, where he was present on the pitch in 13 League 3 games (being a full-back in 11 of them). In the second part of the 2021-22 season, “Bîrlo” will wear the jersey of the leader of the League 3 Series 8 – CSC Ghiroda and Giarmata Vii – also on loan from Politehnica.
