We are happy to announce that Andrei Sîntean is the new member of Politehnica Timisoara. The 22-year-old striker from Banat has signed with our club until the end of the current season with an option to extend the deal for another two years.

Andrei Sîntean was born on 16 June 1999 in Sânnicolau Mare. He played his junior football with ACF Băban Marcel Jimbolia, FC Timișoara and ACS Poli. He made his senior debut at an early age for Murani in League 4 and at 17 he played his first minutes in League I for ACS Poli. In 2017 he became a player of Slavonia Prague and then played for Czech second division Viktoria Zizkov. He also played in the Romanian football elite for Sepsi OSK and FC Hermannstadt. For the latter he registered four goals and two assists in 14 games played in the first part of the 2021-22 season (League 2 and Romanian Cup), plus a goal in two League 3 games for Sibien’s second team. Andrei has been called up throughout his career to all of Romania’s youth national teams, as well as the national youth team. Moreover, last year he played for the Olympic national team, playing in all three games of the U23 “tricolor” in Japan.

“I’m very happy to be here. I can say that I’m back home and I hope to do as well as possible in this championship. I want us to win all nine games, as many as there are left, if possible! First of all I want to be healthy and then the successes will follow. I came here to help the team as much as I can, to put myself at the service of Politehnica and for sure it will be good at the end!”, Andrei Sîntean

Welcome home, Andrei!
