It is our pleasure to inform you that Politehnica Timisoara will take part in this year’s CAFE Week of Action from 12 to 20 March 2022.
The Center for Access to Football in Europe (CAFE) is an organization that aims to promote football among people with disabilities and to spread its main message: “TOTAL FOOTBALL – TOTAL ACCESS”. Every year CAFE works with the major football clubs in Europe to campaign for even greater access to football matches for people with disabilities within a year.
Consequently, Politehnica Timisoara is the only football club in Romania that follows the CAFE Week of Action every year, and for our club it is a real honour to join clubs like Borussia Dortmund, Barcelona, FC Porto and many other famous clubs in Europe.
POLITEHNICA’S PROGRAMME IN CAFE WEEK OF ACTION 2022 | #TOTALACCESS
On Friday, 18th March 2022, we will visit with the players Harrison Devenish-Meares, Alin Ignea, Denis Radu and Nicolae Sofran our partners and friends from “Pentru Voi” Foundation – NGO that provides social services for about 200 adults with intellectual disabilities and their families in Timisoara and its surroundings. The purpose of the visit is to officially invite the beneficiaries of “Pentru Voi” Foundation to the match on March 19, 2022 against Dunara Calarasi that will take place at the Știința stadium.
As we want our visit not to be interpreted as a simple meeting, the official shop of our club will help us with a diverse range of promotional materials that we will offer to the beneficiaries of the foundation. The action is also supported by our joint partner Fifty Five Bistro. Some of the beneficiaries of sheltered housing enjoy weekly the very tasty food of their friends at Fifty Five Bistro (Timișoara, str. Amforei, nr. 3). Their secret ingredient is social responsibility and they are willing to have their recipe “stolen” by other restaurants that are supportive of people with intellectual disabilities.
And as in the Romanian football world and not only we are recognized by the phrase #unclubdiferit we bring to your attention that for the friendly match against FC Rapid 1923 on 26 March 2022 we have prepared a series of surprises through which we want to show once again our empathy towards disabled supporters.
