Politehnica lost 0-3 to FK Csikszereda and coach Nicolae Croitoru stressed that the team did not live up to expectations.

“It’s a stinging defeat, there were 50 minutes in which the game did not announce such a result. Unfortunately, after 1-0, the game took a different turn. We took risks, in the idea of scoring, we gave spaces to our opponents, we lost our organization and in the end the result was 3-0″, said Nicolae Croitoru, head coach of Politehnica.

Asked about the penalty that led to the opening goal, Croitoru answered: “I don’t want to comment on the refereeing in any way, because we should have been equal during the 90 minutes, at least in terms of performance. We should have shown something else, it was an important game, we knew these things, we prepared them as such, unfortunately today we didn’t achieve anything we set out to do”.

In addition to the absences of Rogosic and Sîntean, in the offensive department, our team had another medical problem, with goalkeeper George Păduraru. “He was injured yesterday in training, he did a stretch and that was the reason for the forced change. Sure, he was on the bench, but unfortunately we couldn’t use him”, concluded Nicu Croitoru.

At the end of next week, when our team will be in League 2, a friendly game is planned, which will be announced at the time of finalization.
