Today, July 7, the blue and white start the centralized training camp in Slovenj Gradec, during which our team will play four friendly games.

Head coach Bogdan Andone will initially rely on 23 names, but there are still discussions with players to complete the squad in the coming period, especially in the central positions. The team will return to the country on Monday 18 July.

The blue-and-white squad for the training camp:

Goalkeepers: Dan Isvoranu, Harrison Devenish-Meares, Rareș Murariu, Mario Balica (born 2006);

Full-backs: Călin Jurj, Denis Radu (2003), Cristian Bocșan, Tudor Moțiu (2004), Cătălin Oanea, Carol Taub;

Midfielders: Alin Ignea, Silviu Pană, Răzvan Milea, Luchian Gologan (2004), Marco Andone (2002), Ervin Bakoș (2004), Daniel Benzar, Adrian Zaluschi, Cosmin Bîrnoi, Dan Pureca (2004), Ionuț Bătănași (2003);

Forwards: Daniel Olariu (2004), Raul Țurcaș (2004).

No less than eight youngsters from the Politehnica Academy are in the white-violet squad. There would have been nine, but unfortunately just yesterday, fullback Cosmin Huminic (b. 2004) suffered a serious injury – torn cruciate ligament.

Ionuț Bătănași (born 2003), ex-FCSB, SPAL (Italy) and Rapid, an out-of-contract attacking midfielder, also travelled with our players.

“For the most part we’ll be doing two practices a day, probably excluding match days. There are four matches against teams from Slovenia. We will focus as much as we can on fixing the things we are not doing so well at the moment, improving, working and trying to organise ourselves as best we can as a team – to prepare for next season. It will be a mix between the physical part, the technical-tactical part and the games, because it’s important to have games, to see the good things and the mistakes we will make, so we can correct them”, Bogdan Andone, head coach of Politehnica Timisoara.
