Today at Politehnica there were changes in the squad and in the technical staff.
Patrick Popescu has been registered. Born on 19 December 1996 in Cluj-Napoca, he is a striker and has signed with Poli until next summer. He was a junior at “U” Cluj and at senior level he played for Novohrad Lucenec (Slovakia), “U” Cluj, Pandurii, Aerostar Bacău and Unirea Dej. He left his last team at the end of last season, so he comes to Poli as a free player. He has one Liga I game in 2015 for “U”.
The club has agreed with Adrian Țangulea to terminate his contract. He had come in during this season and played in five Liga II matches for the white-violet (only one as a starter), against Concordia Chiajna coming in along the way. We wish him every success in his career!
Politehnica’s technical staff has been strengthened by the co-optation of Srgian Luchin (photo) as assistant coach, alongside Antonio Foale. Born on 4 March 1986 in Timisoara, he retired from playing last year. Luchin played for FC Timisoara, with whom he was twice national vice-champion, Dinamo, Botev Plovdiv, FCSB, ACS Poli, Levski Sofia, CFR Cluj and Viitorul Constanta, among others. He has 11 caps for Romania. In September, he became assistant coach of Politehnica’s U13 team.
