Politehnica lost today, 1-2 (0-2) against SCM Zalău, in a friendly played on synthetic field, at Baza 2. The weather was bitter (is this global warming a fairy tale?), with cold, heavy rain and a biting wind.

The white-violet team started with the basic formula, and by half-time the guests scored through the ex-international from Montenegro Nikolic (min. 6 and 45, at the last phase of the first half). In addition to Nikolic, the team from Saarland also fielded three other former players, Cherecheș, B. Minteuan and the Basarabian Pătraș (also a former senior international for the state east of the Prut). Because of the weather, Zala’s players played in tracksuits.
From the booths, other field players, including many juniors, joined Poli. They quickly managed to reduce the handicap (Târșa, euro-goal in the 47th minute, lob from distance), but not the equaliser.

Poli (first half): D. Moldovan – D. Radu, Bocșan (c), Sekulic, Taub – Tiihonen, Ignea – Gîdea, Bîrnoi, Stojanovic – Gavra.

Poli (2nd half): D. Moldovan (70, Urdeș) – Mada, Erhard, Porumb, Oanea – Târșa, Gologan – Mladin (77, Boariu), Marincu, Boariu (73, Erceanu) – Țurcaș.

Murariu and D. Benzar (injured) could not be used.

With this match, Poli concluded its winter training camp. The next friendly will be next Saturday in the Serbian Banat against OFK Vršac, a team from the Serbian second league.
