December is the month of presents and perhaps the most anticipated month of the year for children. Already a tradition, the partnership between the two big brands from Banat was honoured this year too.

For 172 children from our Academy, Santa Claus came through the representatives of Casei Auto Timisoara, an authorized sales and service center for Mercedes-Benz, Ford and Hyundai brands. Santa’s helpers generously handed out the gift bags, took pictures with the little ones and with the players of the big team, also present in the training Base 2.

It was truly a joyful and festive atmosphere for the young players who dream of fighting for the blue and white colours, like their older colleagues Fabian Marincu, Aurel Vlaicu, Daniel Olariu or Dan Pureca.

The event was also attended by Costel Pantilimon, the executive director of the club and the head of the academy Sorin Brîndescu. Both offered some advice to the youngsters and thanked the parents for their efforts to keep alive the dream of the young footballers to play for Poli!

Bocșan, Marincu, Pureca, Olariu, Murariu and Curescu also gave a hand to the old man, and at the end they were assaulted by the children of the academy to take pictures.

Costel Pantilimon, executive director of Politehnica Timisoara: “I am happy to see so many happy children tonight, happy and proud to play for Poli and to see parents looking at their children with admiration. I wish to see as many of them as possible in the first team in a few years, because they are the future of Politehnica.”

Sorin Brîndescu, Director of the Children and Youth Centre: “This is our goal, to have a team made up, if possible, exclusively of academy products. I also want to see them in the national teams.”

Mirela Castelli, marketing coordinator of Casa Auto Timisoara: “Casa Auto Timisoara is Santa’s helper, encouraging sport and supporting the local community. Thus, as every year-end, on the eve of the winter holidays, the children of Academia Politehnica Timișoara enjoyed a visit from Santa Claus through Casa Auto Timisoara. We are traditionally partners of this action, which every time brings a thrill of joy to the little policemen who dream of fighting for the purple and white colours.”
