In the play-offs and play-outs, teams enter with their total regular season points.

The top four teams from the regular season participate in the play-offs and the remaining six teams in the play-offs. The play-off will be played round-robin, with a total of 9 rounds, and the play-off round-robin, with a total of 10 rounds.

The top two in each series will play a two-legged, two-legged promotion play-off, with the two top teams in each series playing in neighbouring series (series VIII and series VII). The five winners of the play-off will be entitled to play in the following season of League II.

As the second division will change to a 22-team system from the 2024/25 season onwards, one more team will be promoted from this season’s League III play-off: the winner of a two-round, single-leg tournament (with a host team), in which the best four (in terms of record) of the five teams eliminated in the last play-off round will participate.

From each League III series, the last two play-out finishers will be relegated, along with the fourth-placed play-out team with the worst record.
