Politehnica Timisoara football team will play on Saturday in the 9th round of the play-off of the 3rd League. It is the last round of the play-off.

The opponent will be Phoenix Buziaș, and the match will take place at 6 pm at Electrica stadium.

In the two regular season matches between the two groups, the score was 0-0, except that the match at Carani was homologated 0-3, on the “green table”. And in the first match of the play-off, the score was again tied 2-2. Poli finally won against the team from the Timisoara resort on Good Friday, 3-2 in Carani. Buziaș is the team that eliminated the white-violets from the Romanian Cup, 2-0 after extra time, in Lugoj, in the first official match of this season.

In the standings, Poli is in second place with 51 points. FC Bihor is the leader with 66 points. They are the only team still undefeated among the 100 teams that have started this season of the 3rd League! In 3rd position is CSC Peciu Nou, with 43 points, and in 4th, Phoenix Buziaș, with 37 points. The ranking of the four teams cannot be changed in the last round.

Next week the first round of the promotion play-off to the second league will take place. Both play-off rounds will be played in double-header.
