Politehnica Timisoara will play another away game on Friday, starting at 15.00, the fourth away game of this championship and the second in a row. In the sixth round, the Alb-violets play also in the county, but this time in the north-west of Timis, at Avântului Periam, a team that started the new season of League 3 positively.

“For sure it will still be a tough game, because once again we meet a team from the same county and, as I said in the match against Peciu, teams from the same county have tough, difficult matches. The team from Periam has shown that they can score points even on difficult pitches, like Lupeni’s pitch. A ground where it’s hard to gain points and they’ve just gained a point there. They are also a young team and I think it will be an interesting match”, said Cristian Gălan, the head coach of Politehnicii Timișoara.

Periam features many players who have been part of the squad in previous seasons, including Timisoara midfielder Alex Gașpar, who played his junior season in Politehnicii’s 2003 generation. “In addition, now in the summer they also managed to bring in Razvan Trandu, who is a very important player for the League 3 level, with a lot of experience. He also proved it last season at Ghiroda and this probably made them even better than they have been so far,” said Cristi Gălan.

Politehnica faced new medical problems after the game at Peciu Nou (2-2, round 5). Goalkeeper Octavian Mosoarcă is uncertain after feeling pain. He was substituted in the 72nd minute of Saturday’s match: “Tavi hasn’t trained with us this week so far. He is still doing separately because he is in pain. We don’t know exactly what it is, but we hope it’s nothing serious that will keep him off the pitch for a long time. Otherwise the boys are fine.” Of course, defenders Radu Ciurel and Cosmin Huminic remain unavailable.

“It’s definitely going to be an interesting game, if the boys continue to grow in terms of their play, as they have done from the start of the season so far, I think it will be a good game!”
