The head coach of Politehnica Timisoara talked about the last two tests in Slovenia, both played on the same day, and drew conclusions at the end of the central training camp in Slovenj Gradec.

“There were two matches on the last day of training camp. In the morning – a match in which mostly young players played. A useful test, an important experience for them. They need hard matches, international matches, to gain experience, to grow, to progress. A test in which we did many good things, but also some mistakes. Overall a useful test for them. The important thing is that they played most of the 90 minutes. Then, in the afternoon, a match with more intensity, against a team that played the promotion play-off last season. A team that is well advanced in their preparation. A homogenous team that has been playing together for a long time. But the boys put in a great effort, at high intensity, we created some good scoring situations. Unfortunately we weren’t inspired when it came to finishing. Including missing a penalty here. But they deserve congratulations for their attitude first of all and for the game they played”, said Bogdan Andone, Politehnica’s head coach.

“Overall it was a useful training camp, where we had very very good conditions and, very importantly, no major injuries. Minor concussions, inherent after such intense matches, and it’s gratifying that the boys responded positively and their attitude gives us hope that we are on the right track and will fight for the goal with great confidence!”, concluded the white-violet coach.

We recall the results of Politehnica’s training camp:

1-2 cu NK Tabor Sezana (L1)

2-1 cu NK Brinje Grosuplje (L2)

1-3 cu NK Fuzinar Ravne (L2)
