After four rounds of the new League 3 championship, the top scorer of Politehnicii is Bogdan Istratie, who yesterday scored the only goal of the match against Gloria Lunca-Teuz Cermei. With Saturday’s success the 20-year-old striker has now scored four goals.

The latter goal was all the more important, as it consecrated the first victory of the season for the Alb-violets. “This is exactly what we hoped for, this is what we worked for. It shows, it’s a team effort. We expected the win a lot. It’s clear, victories bring victories, we’re happy that it came now and in the end what was was what was, we are Poli and we have to move forward,” said Bogdan Istratie.

The Drobeta-Turnu Severin-born striker has scored a total of five goals for Poli Timisoara. Confidence from the coach, confidence from the team, it’s a young squad and you can see that we’re all pulling on the same wagon and we want to get results. The goals, it’s clear that they’re coming, I’m glad they’re coming from me. However, that’s my job, that’s why I’m a striker and I hope to give as many as I can, to help Poli get to where they belong!“, said Istratie.
