Politehnica Tim Timisoara plays on Saturday for the third time away from home in the current championship. This time our opponent is CSC Peciu Nou, a team with many well-known names in the team, including with the blue and white.

“For sure it will be a very tough match because, besides the fact that Peciu is an experienced team, with quality players, they also have a coach who plays football and likes to dominate the game, to have possession. And it’s going to be an interesting game because we’ll probably do the same. We’re going to try to get the game in the shape we want it to look and hopefully we’ll succeed. Maybe our youth will be an asset this time. We’re focused on winning every game, we’re focused on performing as well as we can, we’re focused on growing from game to game. In the early stages we had some fluctuations in form and then we try to find our rhythm in the championship. They had some good results, because they form a good team, but we go there to do what we do best and win the game”, said Cristian Gălan, head coach of Politehnicii Timisoara.

“It’s a close trip, it’s a trip where we know which players our opponents have, where we know them. We know each other because we’re teams from the same county. We know that always county derbies are fierce and very tough in terms of commitment. Probably the same will be waiting for us on Saturday.”

Cristian Gălan, head coach Politehnica Timișoara

Poli can still not count on defenders Cosmin Huminic and Radu Ciurel (both injured), while Ștefan Miclăuș is doubtful after suffering muscle problems in the 1-0 win over Gloria LT Cermei, while another defender, junior Marco Lazăr, is fit after serving his suspension last weekend. “There are medical problems with Ștefan Miclăuș, who went off in the match against Cermei, we hope he will be fit for the match. He trained separately, we still don’t know exactly if we can rely on him or not,” added Cristi Gălan.

The match CSC Peciu Nou – Politehnica Timisoara will be played on Saturday, from 17.00, in the fifth round of League 3, Series 9. The green-and-whites are in second position with 9 points, while the blue-and-whites have five points from their first four league games.
