The Timisoara derby was settled in the first minute of extra time. Then, new signing Mihai Ene, formerly of Poli, flawlessly converted a free kick from 20m out, easily from the left side, the ball hitting the sidebar at the short corner before going into the net of Murariu, his former teammate at Academia Hagi.

The game was heading for 0-0, although there was no shortage of chances. As early as the 2nd minute, ex-polist Sofran shot from the penalty area, Murariu saved. Taub sent from the penalty area in the 10th minute, the goalkeeper defended. Tvetkov shoots from distance, goalkeeper defends (23rd min.). Gavra has two chances almost on goal, shooting wide from the penalty area to the short corner (28th and 33rd min.).

In the second half, Gladun heads a corner onto the crossbar (50 mins).Six minutes later, Poli have a huge chance, Benzar escapes alone with Toroc, but fails to open the scoring. Immediately, Zimța shoots wide from distance. Sofran sends it wide from outside the box (62 mins). Bakoș shoots, the goalkeeper saves (min. 64). In the 84th minute, the hosts benefit from an indirect from the penalty area, but Fridrich sends it into the wall.

In the standings, Poli has only 8 points and dropped to 20th place, last.

Karatasios and Celani, the team’s latest transfers, have not yet been able to be registered because the “green card” did not arrive in time.

The Polista gallery went to the match in an organised manner, starting from Traian Square and demanding respect for Timisoara sport.
