Politehnica lost, 1-4, at FC Metaloglobus’ home ground, after our team was ahead at half-time in the 6th round of League 2.
“It was a game controlled by us in the first half, with good possession, we went into the dressing room with the lead. Unfortunately Bîrnoi’s injury gave us a bit of a headache, but we still controlled the first 10-12 minutes, after which we collapsed. We conceded two goals very quickly, we weren’t careful, we weren’t focused and from there, mentally, we fell apart at the end. As a proof this result is shameful”, said Dorin Toma, Politehnica’s head coach.
In addition to Sebastian Serediuc and Denis Radu, the white-violet team lost Cătălin Oanea, also for medical reasons. “We have no excuses from this point of view. Even if Oanea was injured, we have players to replace him, Pamfile played very well in the Cup match and in today’s match. We controlled the game, but unfortunately we didn’t manage it very well physically after we conceded the first two goals. After that we didn’t manage to come back… Football waits for mistakes… Especially with 1-0, we should have been more determined, we all made mistakes, we’ll analyse the game, we’ll see what needs to be done, the important thing is to come back as soon as possible and move forward”, concluded Dorin Toma.
