The junior teams of Politehnica Timisoara played matches in the national championships. The three biggest groups played away against similar teams of the University of Cluj. They were the last official matches of the season for the white-violet players in these age groups.

In the Youth League, Poli drew, 0-0, against the team that won the series. In the standings, the white-violet coached by Cristian Petcu finished in 5th place, penultimate, with 20 points in the West play-out series.

In the U17 Elite League it was a decisive match for qualification to the semi-finals. The white-violet (photo) lost, however, 0-2, so Cristian Gălan’s pupils finished 2nd, with 40 points, in the West play-off series. The U’s also had the same number of points, one place higher, the last qualifier. FCSB, CSA Steaua, CS Universitatea Craiova and “U” Cluj reached the semi-finals.

In the U16 Elite League, Poli drew with “U”, 2-2. In the standings, the players coached until recently by Paul Codrea finished 4th with 39 points in the 4th series of the play-off. ACS FC Bacău, CS Universitatea Craiova, Farul Constanța and “U” Cluj qualified for the semi-finals.

In the U15 Elite League, Poli did not qualify for the semi-finals after finishing third, second last, in a group with CS Universitatea, Academia de Fotbal Gică Popescu, both from Craiova, and CSM Deva.
