On Friday, at 2 p.m., the exhibition “Goodbye, El Monumental!”, located in the official stand of the Dan Paltinisanu Stadium, will open. The event will be attended by several emblematic players and personalities from the history of Politehnica Timișoara football club.
Through the project “La revedere, El Monumental!”, organized by the Timișoara Supporters’ Association Druckeria, the official stand of the Dan Paltinișanu Stadium has been transformed into a temporary museum, offering an incursion into the history and sports culture of Timișoara, before the expected demolition of the arena. The initiative is part of a larger project, called “Polistoria”, which aims to create a permanent museum dedicated to Banat’s fan club. Through a joint effort, over the last few months, new photos, precious objects and memorabilia from the rich history of the “white and blue” have been discovered, some of which will be presented for the first time to the public!
With the logistical support of the Timis County Council, the exhibition will be open to the public for almost two months, giving visitors the opportunity to explore the legacy of Politehnica Timisoara and the history of the Dan Paltinișanu Stadium, as well as the special bond that the football team has always had with the city. During the visit period, the project will organize related activities such as various workshops for people of all ages, as well as discussion sessions with important people from Politehnica’s history, guided tours for students and concerts.
The exhibition can be visited from October 25 to December 15, according to the following schedule:
