Today, at Base 2, the second training game took place for the youngsters taking part in this week’s trial action organised by Politehnica. The opponent, CSC Ghiroda and Giarmata Vii, leader of the 8th Series of League 3, won 4-1 (1-0).

Unlike Tuesday’s 2-2 draw with CSC Dumbrăvița, the match against the yellow-and-blue saw two young midfielders from ACS Viitorul Cluj, both born in 2003 – Denis Fărăgău and Denis Calo.

The score was opened in the 34th minute by Grancea, from the penalty spot. After the break Jichici (50th minute) increased the gap following Coroiu’s cross. And immediately our team narrowed the gap through Mihai Jorza following a cross from the left flank. From the 68th minute the score was 1-3 following a strong free kick by Mancaș. And nine minutes before the end the same Ghirodei player scored once more with a low shot near Cuzmanovici’s right bar.

For the youngsters who have been training this week under the Politehnica technical staff there is one more day of training on Friday. “We will draw conclusions tomorrow, after we finish the whole action… (Tuesday) there were those from the Centre that we saw and we will meet them again next year, when we start training, and there were those who were loaned to League 3 and now (today) we had others we wanted to see“, specified Nicolae Croitoru, Politehnica’s head coach.

Three players on loan from Politehnica played for the guests: Ilie Velcan, Robert Ehling and Dragoș Coroiu.

In other news, yesterday afternoon Politehnica returned to Peciu Nou, at the invitation of the hospitable hosts, exactly three weeks after the “Poli comes to the schoolyard!” action, an event after which our team experienced a long-awaited revival in the championship. If then our boys were defeated by the local high school, on Wednesday, the white-violets, with a rejuvenated line-up, got their “revenge” in a friendly match, scoring 2-0 against the leader of the Timis IV League – CSC Peciu Nou. Răzvan Prodan and Doru Andrei scored in the second half. Coach Nicolae Croitoru has relied on: Murariu – Sofran, Prodan, Huminic, Pamfile – D. Andrei, Ignea, Bâte, Oanea – Bakoș, D. Olariu.
