Politehnica Timisoara will play on Wednesday, May 21, at home, the second leg of the semi-final play-off for promotion to League 2. CS Minaur Baia Mare, the winner of Series 10 of League 3, will play at the “Electrica”, a team coached by Constantin Schumacher.
“This is definitely the most important match of the season. Basically the first game out of the four we have left, it shows the work we have done in the last year and I think that when we step on the pitch on Wednesday we will think about this and we will put absolutely everything on the pitch so that we can have a positive result in the end.
Obviously from this point on everything is from zero. We’ve already moved on to another stage of the championship – the play-offs – and then absolutely everything has been erased, the boys are already mentally and physically prepared to play a good game against Baia Mare. What was in the past is not up for discussion,” said Cristian Gălan, head coach of Politehnicii.
“We have seen some of the opponent’s games, a good opponent, a very good team, a qualitative game, with very good players, but at the time of the match, being a play-off game, I think it depends on the form of the moment, it depends on the inspiration of the players in those seconds or minutes or maybe fractions of a second, and I think it will be an interesting match, in which our players will certainly rise to the occasion,” the white-violets’ coach said about Minaur.
“There are two legs, we have to keep in mind that it’s a round-robin game, we have to put a lot of pressure on the opponent but we have to be quite rational and choose the moments when we do that and manage to manage the game very well”, Cristian Gălan, head coach Politehnica Timisoara
Tickets for the game against Minaur Baia Mare were sold out in record time. Those for tribune 2 can be purchased online, but will be available at the stadium one hour before kick-off, subject to availability! Season tickets are also valid for play-off games! Spectators with disabilities have free access to the sidelines, while children up to the age of 12 and juniors registered at Academia Politehnica Timisoara have free entry to the 2nd stand.
“It’s definitely going to be a great atmosphere, as with all our other games, it’s definitely going to be a full stadium. If we probably had more seats it would still be full. We expect our supporters, who are with us at every moment, to make a sensational atmosphere and we will reward them at the end of the game“, emphasized Cristian Gălan.
The match Politehnica Timisoara – Minaur Baia Mare, the first leg of the semifinals of the promotion play-off for League 2, will be played on Wednesday, from 6.00 pm, at the “Electrica” stadium, and will be broadcast live on TVR Timisoara and TVR Sport (TV channels that broadcast free and online via tvrplus.ro).
