On Wednesday, July 27, starting at 18.00, we invite you to join us in St. George’s Square in Timisoara for “Flag Day”, a special event to mark the beginning of the new season. During this event we will present to our supporters including the Politehnica’s squad for the start of the 2022-23 season of League 2.

We want the Flag Day to become a tradition in the years to come, we invite every Polite to take the flag out of the closet and fly it again with pride! We extend this celebration to the first home game against Unirii Constanta at the old “Știința” arena on the weekend of 5-7 August 2022.

We have several surprises in store for fans on the occasion of Wednesday’s event. We will be in the city centre, in one of the most beautiful squares of Timișoara and we will “dissect” Politehnica through 5 essential components that characterize it, each with its own special moment and special guests:

Timisoara’s team – we are joined by our friends from Timisoara City Tours, who will tell us a little about the place we are in

Team of tradition – we recall legendary episodes in the history of our club with two former footballers

The Polytechnic Institute team – the football section is an inseparable part of the Polytechnic University of Timisoara

Community team – we have a lot of friends who do great things for those in need. Let’s meet them!

Supporters Team – we present the new concept of “Volunteer viola de cartier” and make sign-ups

There will be an area dedicated to sports games (kick tennis, teqball, goal kicking, etc.) in which Polytechnic footballers will participate, plus booths from partner organizations in the social service provider area. For the little ones we will have Kids Zone, with workshops and competitions with prizes, as well as a photo corner. We’ll also have spaces dedicated to the history of Politecnico and our academy, the best nursery in the west of the country.

The programme also includes a series of moments with local artists who will “spice up” the moments. The highlight for the Viola supporters will be at 20.45, when they will get to know better the boys trained by Bogdan Andone on the occasion of the official presentation of the Polis team for the new season.

The “Flag Day” event is financed by the Municipality of Timișoara through the Project Centre, within the #OrașulÎnMișcare programme.
