We learn that Gheorghe Muresan (61) passed away on 27 December. He was a player for Politehnica Timișoara, in Division A, from 1984-1986. (In the 1984 “Sport” magazine, he was listed as Mihai).

He was born on 22 April 1962 and grew up with the junior team of Olimpia Satu Mare, the club where he made his debut in the senior team and from where he transferred to Poli in 1984. He was an industrious and technical midfielder.

He was nicknamed “Muri” and had been living in Spain for several years.

God rest his soul.
