HAI LA POLI!

The Politehnica Timisoara junior academy project started in 2015 with a group of juniors. The children born in 2003, coached by Prof. Iulian Prodana, were the first athletes registered at junior level by our club. Since then six years have passed and our academy has grown enormously.

Thanks to the excellent conditions offered by Politehnica University Timisoara, in partnership with the Timisoara Supporters Association “Druckeria”, we have developed a lot. In these six years we have reached a top level in Romanian football, being recognized as an elite football school, oriented towards performance.

Our children have the best training conditions, being constantly monitored by a technical staff made up of highly trained coaches.

Our academy currently has over 300 registered children, working in 14 age groups. Our young athletes are born between 2003 and 2017.

The 14 groups are divided into 3 categories, namely:

Initiation groups (2017 – 2012)

These are the little athletes who are new to football. The training sessions address age-specific challenges: maintaining attention for a long period of time, introductory football drills (ball control, correct execution of movements), discipline.

The children have two coaches in each group, so that their progress can be monitored as closely as possible. The club also offers one specialised training session per week for goalkeepers and access to the club’s swimming pool.

Grupele de dezvoltare (2011 – 2008)

Children learn about competition, improve their football skills and become future professional athletes. Our junior teams compete at the highest level, giving young players the chance to show their skills in duels with the best clubs in the country.

All children benefit from specialized training with physical trainers, goalkeeping coaches, sports psychological counseling sessions and access to the swimming pool.

Specialisation groups (2007 – 2003)

There are those waiting to earn their place in the first team of Politehnica. These are the players who, at the age of 16, sign professional contracts with Politehnica Timișoara, entering the first team. They participate in the Elite League in their age groups, playing against the elite academies in Romania.

All athletes in these age categories are closely monitored at games and training sessions by the senior team staff, and are invited to participate in training sessions on a rotating basis.
