The project of the junior academy Politehnica Timișoara started in 2015, with a group of juniors. The children born in 2003, coached by prof. Iulian Prodana, were the first athletes legitimated at youth level by our club. Five years have passed since then, and our academy has grown enormously.

Thanks to the excellent conditions offered by the Politehnica University of Timișoara, in partnership with the Timișoara Supporters Association “Druckeria”, we have developed a lot. In these five years, we have reached a top level in Romanian football, being recognized as an elite, performance-oriented football school.

Our children have the best training and coaching conditions, being constantly monitored by a technical staff of highly trained coaches.

Our academy currently has over 250 legitimate children, who work in 12 age groups. Our little athletes were born between 2002 and 2014.

The 12 groups are divided into 3 categories, namely:

Initiation groups (2014 – 2011)

They are the little athletes who have just come into the world of football. Training addresses age-specific challenges: maintaining attention for a long time, introductory exercises in football (ball control, correct execution of movements), discipline.

The children benefit from two coaches in each group, so that their evolution can be followed in as much detail as possible. The club also offers a specialized weekly training for goalkeepers and access to the club’s swimming pool.

Development Groups (2010 – 2007)

Children learn what competition is, improve themselves in the game of football and become future professional athletes. Our junior teams compete in competitions at the highest level, giving young players the chance to demonstrate their skills in duels with the best clubs in the country.

All children benefit from specialized training with physical trainers, goalkeeping coaches, sports psychological counseling sessions and access to the swimming pool.

Specialization groups (2006 – 2002)

They are the ones waiting to win their place in the first team of the Politehnica . There are players who, at the age of 16, sign professional contracts with Politehnica Timișoara, joining the first team. Participates in the Elite League in their age categories, playing against elite academies in Romania.

All legitimate athletes in these age groups are closely watched at games and training by the senior team staff, being invited to participate, by rotation, in its training.
