Metaloglobus Bucharest was founded in 1956, as a team of the factory of the same name, a factory that produced… bullets and toys. Since 2011 he has played in the Third League, received on a vacancy, after losing the promotion dam in this echelon. And in the summer of 2017, he was promoted, for the first time, to the second league.
The group – one of the very few unsupported from public money, this season of D2 – is sponsored by the Syrian Imad Kassas (who also sponsors the factory) and has as president Marius Burcă, member of the Executive Committee of the FRF.
The club has its own stadium, also called Metaloglobus, with a synthetic playing surface, a base located in the Pantelimon district of the Capital. Metaloglobus also has a second team in the 4th League of Bucharest.
The stars of the team are brothers Ovidiu and Claudiu Herea.
In the standings before this stage, Metaloglobus was on the 9th place, with 24 points, just two points away from the playoff qualification area.
The last direct match between the two teams was on October 16, 2019, score 1-1, with Poli host. Of the five games played so far, all in the second league, Bucharest won only one, on the first, in 2017, score 2-0 away.
