After a period of instability, the football team Politehnica Timisoara has a new executive and technical management, after the departures of Costel Pantilimon and Paul Codrea.
The Board of Directors is made up of Prof. dr. dr. eng. Simon Pescari (president), Călin Pașca (vice-president), prof. univ. dr. eng. Matei Tămășilă, Cristian Romoniță and Sașa Moza. Thus, prof. univ. dr. eng. Viorel-Aurel Șerban ends his mandate as Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Sorin Brîndescu was appointed as executive director and Cristian Gălan as head coach of the senior team.

Sorin Brîndescu was born on May 2, 1974 in Timișoara. He played for UTA, including in the A Division.
He has been one of the pillars of the Polist project started in 2012. First as sports manager, then, between 2015-2017, as coach of Politehnicii, which he promoted from the Fourth League to the Second League.
Until this summer, he was the coordinator of the club’s children and juniors center, which last year was ranked 4th in the FRF’s ranking.
She has also worked in women’s football at Fortuna Becicherecu Mic, where she was sports manager and then coach. He has a PhD in management, holds a UEFA Pro License and is a university lecturer at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport of the West University of Timisoara.
He is the son of Tiberiu Brîndescu, former player at Poli and coach at LPS Banatul.

Cristian Gălan was born on September 17, 1988, in Hunedoara. He started playing football in his home town, at Corvinul, then moved to Timisoara, to FCU Politehnica’s second team, from where he was loaned to Fortuna Covaci (in the second league).
He was, in the last decade, Politehnica’s emblematic captain and stoper, with whom he was promoted from the Fourth League to the Second League.
After retiring from playing, he dedicated himself to coaching at youth level, also at Politehnica.
He formed the 2006 generation, from which several juniors made their senior debuts.
In the previous season he coached the U15 Elite League team, which he will continue to coach in parallel with the senior team.
In the spring of 2021 he was Dan Alexa’s second in charge of the senior team, in the best season in the history of the project that started 12 years ago, when the White Blues qualified for the play-offs of the second division.
He holds a UEFA A license.
