Taking advantage of the break in the championship, the white-violet played today a friendly game on “Știința” against Avântul Periam, the last ranked team in the 8th Series of League 3. The test ended with the score 5-2 (5-1) in favour of Politehnica with goals by Zaluschi, Rogosić (a player on trial), Ignea and Gerbi. For the guests, Gachpar and Ologu scored, both from penalty kicks.

Coach Nicolae Croitoru also watched two players from outside the club: Stefan Vukoje (English nationality, attacking midfielder – full-back and centre-back, 20 years old, ex-Brighton U23) and Balsa Rogosic (Montenegrin, striker 25 years old, FK Zeta Golubovci).

The match started in dense fog. Adrian Zaluschi opened the scoring quickly in the 2nd minute with a long-range shot, which was slightly deflected by the goalkeeper. In the 21st minute Periamul could have equalized after a penalty, but Alex Gașpar, a player trained in our academy and loaned with David Periat to the guests, shot at the bar to the right of Păduraru. The ball came back to him and the flag went up on the edge of the box. Politehnica then scored twice in two minutes, through Rogosic (28th minute) from the penalty area after Sofran’s cross and through Ignea (29th) – shot from distance. Alin Ignea would make it 4-0 two minutes later, this time from a set piece.

In the 36th minute the guests were awarded another penalty, this time by Gașpar with a shot to the right of the goalkeeper. Erik Gerbi (43) set the half-time score with a rebound from close range from Ignea.

Our team changed the whole team at half-time. Only one more goal was scored in the second half. Periamul scored the second goal also from a penalty, following a foul “moved” in the box. Scorer: Ologu (min. 72).

Serediuc, Harrison and Oanea were absent for medical reasons, while Daniel Benzar is still absent without reason. For the white-violet team, the next game is the away championship match against FC Brasov, scheduled for Saturday 20 November at 12.30 (televised).

“It was a training game, we ended a week in which we tried to adjust some problems in the game. Some of them worked out for us, some didn’t. We also wanted to see the players who haven’t played so far, to give them minutes to play. Two players from the Academy (n.r. Denis Bot n. 2003 and Daniel Olariu 2004) came to watch them play, they have been training with the team for two weeks… We scored five goals but I think there is still a lot of work to be done, at least on what it means to play in the opposing third. In the games so far we haven’t created many goalscoring situations, we don’t bring enough men forward. I’d say we don’t even take our shots on goal. But we hope to remedy that. The game in Brasov is very important and you can see that we are all concerned about a good game and especially a good result“, said Nicolae Croitoru, Politehnica’s head coach.

“There are two players who have trained with us this week, you saw them playing today, they are interesting players. It remains that next week we will make an analysis and we will decide what will happen with them“, said the “principal” of the white-violet about the two players on trial.
