I greeted Thursday night’s event with sadness, just like every other Timisoara football fan. We also all felt frustration and helplessness, because no matter how hard we work and no matter how many ambitions we have, we will always run into the same all-too-complicated problem of Timisoara’s deplorable sports infrastructure.

Timisoara football needs unity at decision-making level and urgent and concrete action, not plans and promises. We have taken the necessary steps to have a series of meetings with the local and county authorities in the coming period, in order to identify quick solutions to unblock the ungrateful situation in which we find ourselves, as a city. The results of these meetings will be communicated publicly to supporters and media representatives at a conference we hope to organise at the end of next week.

We call on the authorities to assess the situation responsibly and find solutions. We are ready to cooperate on any level to find such quick and creative solutions that can be implemented, so that Politehnica can play its home matches in decent conditions for a city like Timisoara.
