On Wednesday, 17 November, at the Faculty of Mechanics of the Politehnica University, our club hosted the first meeting dedicated to the exchange of experience, at theoretical and practical level, for coaches from the Timisoara area and beyond.

Through this project, Politehnica – “A Different Club” aims to support teams in the western part of the country in the youth field. Together we want all children to benefit from a modern training process and this can be achieved by informing coaches about the training methods used by big clubs in Europe. Competition and collaboration leads to progress, competition is on the pitch and the aim is to create competitive football players whose impact will benefit our clubs.

Theoretical courses, such as the one held this week, are held by methodist Sandu Tăbîrcă, head of the Technical Department of the Polytechnic Academy, holder of UEFA PRO, UEFA A Elite licences and UEFA trainer – coach development programmes. While the practical sessions, whose “debut” will be in January 2022, will be led by Politehnica coaches, according to the specifics of the course and the age group targeted.

Coaches from CS Atletico, FC Auto, Electrica, LPS Banatul, Tim Star, Alb Viola, CSS Bega, CFR (all from Timisoara), CS Giroc-Chișoda, Timișul Șag and Viitorul Arad attended the meeting on 17 November.

“Our club has a motto – A Different Club – first of all we presented to our colleagues from Timișoara how we see football, a different vision, i.e. we see it a bit differently. We try to have an exchange of experience with coaches from the area, because it’s important for all the people here to work. I have a lot of international experience and I have noticed that the secret is not what a club or a coach does, but what a group or an area, a region does. For the most part we all know each other, but unfortunately we know each other as opponents and I don’t find it normal that coaches are rivals in children and juniors, people who are involved in the development of children in the western area can’t be opponents in any way… I invite everyone from January to a new exchange of experience, between bigger clubs, smaller clubs. Because all of us, not only Politehnica, become better when we share these opinions”, Sandu Tăbîrcă

This action was made possible with the support of LPS Banatul, Domeniile Recaș and D’arc Timișoara.
