Politehnica Timisoara defeated Progresul Pecica from Arad 5-0 (3-0) in the 8th round of League III.

David Popa opened the scoring in the 31st minute from a penalty kick after Curescu was fouled in front of goal by E. Wild. The guest player also saw his red card at this stage. Robert Curescu increased the gap to 2-0 in the 33rd minute after a personal action. And two minutes later the same Curescu, who was scoring his first official goals in the white-violet, made it 3-0!

In the second half our team scored twice more. David Ciurel made it 4-0 in the 52nd minute. The final score was set by Bănățan’s own goal (84th minute).

On the occasion of this game, Andrei Mura also made his official debut for Poli, as a striker. He scored a crossbar. In the 10th minute David Ciurel also hit the bar. It was also the first minutes of the season for the young central defender Marco Lazăr (born 2007!), who last year also made his debut in the second division.
