Politehnica Timișoara meets Progresul Pecica for the third time this season. On Saturday, the duel in Arad county will count for the 11th round of the regular season of League 3.

On August 7, in the second round of the Romanian Cup, Poli qualified in Pecica after a penalty shootout (8-6, after 3-3 and 5-3 penalties respectively). A month later, in the regular season round at the “Electrica”, it was a 1-1 draw. The games between the two have so far been hotly contested.

We know the Pecica team, we also saw them in the match against Peciu last season, they are a team that hasn’t lost its identity, they try to play. Clearly, after seeing the results in this championship, it is not someone who starts from the beginning as the winner because the games are very close. There are games that are decided by one situation or one inaccuracy and then we will have to work hard to win the three points. It is clear that both teams will fight for the points at stake. It is clear that they will also be determined, being at home, but this makes us to be the same and try to win the game“, said Cristian Gălan, head coach of Politehnicii Timisoara.

The team is still without the contribution of players Victor Prună and Cosmin Huminic, but the other players with medical problems have gradually returned to a normal training program. Unfortunately, last round, Radu Ciurel was initially announced in the match squad, as he returned after the sprain suffered in Sânmartin, but was affected by a virus. “The others who have had injuries, we are slowly trying to integrate them… And Mosoarcă, I’m sorry last season for Radu Ciurel, who returned to training and it was very important for him to be able to participate, but a virus didn’t let him on the pitch in the last match, he couldn’t get out of bed and then we hope to see his evolution, because he is a player who helps us and he needs to be on the pitch as quickly as possible. He is very concerned to do that,” explained Cristi Gălan.

The match Progresul Pecica – Politehnica Timișoara will be played on Saturday, November 9, from 14.00, in the 11th round of League 3, Series 9, and will be broadcast live on FRF.tv (free account). Before this round the white-violets are in 6th place with 13 points, the hosts from Arad have 17 points and are in 4th place.
