Politehnica Timisoara won 2-0 in the friendly game played today at the “Dan Paltinisanu” stadium against CSM Reșița. Our team’s goals were scored by Denis Radu and Sebastian Serediuc, a striker who joined our team from CFR Cluj.

As in the previous two training games of the white-violet, the first on the list of scorers was Radu. Today, the young Politehnica wide player scored from inside the box in the 14th minute, after a ball recovered by Axente, who in turn passed to Zaluschi, the author of the assist. In the following minutes S. Costea and Axente missed further scoring opportunities. The visitors could have equalised in the 33rd minute when Mera’s challenge on V. Munteanu, but Călin Cristea sent it over the crossbar from the spot.

In the second half Politehnica could break away in the 65th minute when Hațegan shot into the outside of the bar from Zimmermann’s left. It was eventually 2-0 in the 80th minute. After a long ball sent in by Hațegan, Andrei sent it ideally in front of goal, from where Sebastian Serediuc shot into the net to set the final score. Serediuc is a striker, 21 years old and was loaned last season by CFR to Unirea Dej. Also in the second half played for our team the 23 year old wing midfielder Bogdan Cuibari, a trial player from Jiul Petroșani.

“The important thing is not the result, the important thing is that we have no injured players. We are at the end of the training camp and we came out with this game, in which we have already increased the number of minutes in some players to 60 minutes, in others 45 and 30. We will compensate in the next game in the other players. But overall it was a good training and a pretty good game, in which the physical and mental fatigue that we have at the moment showed a lot. There are still some players in testing. We’ve already made a decision on some of them, but we’ll make a decision on the others on Saturday, we’re still looking for three more players so that we have a squad that is as competitive as possible in terms of numbers and value. And we hope that next week at the latest we will be able to achieve this, if not, we will wait, the transfer period is until September and we want to take our time and make the best decisions on the players who will be part of our squad”, said Dorin Toma, head coach of Politehnica.

Politehnica ended today the centralized training camp locally. Our team’s next game will be on Saturday, July 17, at 11.00 (Romanian time), away against OFK Kikinda.
