The white-violets prevailed today in the first training game. It was Politehnica Timişoara – Pobeda Star Bîşnov, score 4-1, on the “Auto” arena in the Freidorf district of Timişoara.

Coach Dorin Toma relied in the first half on a team made up mostly of players who also played for our team last season. The score was then 25 minutes into the match, when Pamfile’s Denis Radu found himself unmarked in front of the goal after a dash up the left side. Halftime score was 0 – 1. Mircea Axente increased the lead for Zaluschi to 2 – 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. Axente also made it 3-0, with a shot on foot six minutes away, after a similar action.

At the restart, Politehnica relied on several players who arrived in training. The team of origin of the new ones compared to last week’s school game is put in parentheses. 60 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 4 – 0 as Roberto Haţegan finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. The new division “C” scored the goal of honor a quarter of an hour before the end through the coach-player Daniel Vasilcin, with an execution from outside the box, the ball hitting the bar before entering the goal. Alin Manea (exams) was absent and agreed.

The next friendly game of the Polytechnic will be next Saturday, on the field of those from CSM Resita. From Monday, the white-purple group will enter a centralized internship locally (July 5-14).

“It was the first friendly game for the players we had from the beginning of the training, players who evolved in the last championship. I also had a school game, in which I also saw the children. But this time the first half was dedicated to our players, who prepared very well, and in the second half we tried the players we wanted to see again. Unfortunately, many players come to the tests and are very weak physically, tactically. That’s their problem. We tried to draw the line and make the best decisions. Unfortunately, there are only two players left that we want to see, with their consent. If not, most of our players remain and we will have to complete the group with players who have evolved at least at the level of League 2 (…) This week we finished the trials. We don’t have time to try anymore, we need established players to fill the holes of those who left after the end of the championship“, said Dorin Toma, the head coach of the Timişoara Polytechnic.

“We want to see Costea again, we want to see Roberto (Haţegan) again, the last one came only two days ago. Costea is with us from the beginning and we try to see him again, because he has quality, but from a tactical point of view it does not correspond. But we still have patience with him and we hope he will impress us in the next period. Likewise, at Roberto, today he had a pretty good execution, he has quality, but we want to see him in other situations…”, added Toma about the players left to train with our team.
