We are delighted to announce a comeback in blue and white. Octavian Ursu has signed for one year with Politehnica!

Octavian Andrei Ursu was born on 15 November 1994, in Mediaș. He is an offensive player and can cover several positions in the “last third” of the field. He was a junior at Ardealul Cluj and “U” Cluj, for the latter he also made his debut at senior level. He also played for Unirea Slobozia, ACS Berceni, CS Mioveni, ASA Tg. Mures, Olimpia Satu Mare, UTA and Rapid. For our team, he also played in the 2018-19 Ligii 2 season on loan from “U” and scored five goals in 13 appearances in the white-violet jersey. In the 2020-21 edition he played for Arad on the first stage in the “autumn” season, scoring one goal in 11 games, then he was active in the spring at Rapid, for whom he also scored once in 14 League 2 games. With the last two teams he played for he managed to reach the first division!

“I’m glad, I chose with all my heart to return to Politehnica. I had other opportunities, but I decided I wanted to come here to play. Even if it seems a little crazy to say that, I want to get promoted! But, let’s take it gradually, first to catch the play-offs and then to make a nice figure!”, Octavian Andrei Ursu.
