We are pleased to announce that Politehnica Timisoara has secured the agreement of UC Sampdoria for the loan of Italian striker Erik Gerbi until the end of the 2021-22 season.

Erik Gerbi was born on 11 June 2000 in Ivrea (Italy). He grew up with Pro Vercelli, for whom he also made his senior debut in Serie B. Two and a half years ago he was transferred by Juventus Torino. With the Piedmontese U23 team he won the Italian Cup (Serie C) in the 2019-20 edition. At the beginning of last year he joined Sampdoria, the club that loaned him to Teramo for the 2020-21 season. For the Serie C side he made 17 appearances last season, including one in the promotion play-off.
